Welcome to Rescue Buddies. These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of RescueBuddies.ca, our online shop, and the products, memberships, services, and resources offered by Rescue Buddies.
By purchasing or accessing a Rescue Buddies product or service, you agree to the applicable Terms & Conditions.
About Rescue Buddies
Rescue Buddies creates fundraising systems, resources, memberships, and other materials designed to help animal rescues, animal lovers, and supporters raise funds and support animals.
Some Rescue Buddies products and services are delivered through third-party platforms, including Payhip. Additional terms from those providers may also apply when you use their services.
Using This Website
You may use RescueBuddies.ca for lawful purposes and in a way that does not interfere with the operation or security of the website or the ability of others to use it.
Information on this website is provided for general informational purposes. We make reasonable efforts to keep information accurate and current but may update, correct, or change website content when necessary.
Purchases and Digital Products
Please review the description of a product or service carefully before purchasing.
Most Rescue Buddies products are digital products or services. Delivery methods vary depending on the product and may include downloadable files, online access, email delivery, hosted content, or materials delivered through third-party platforms.
Prices, included features, and applicable conditions are displayed on the relevant product or sales page at the time of purchase.
Prices are generally displayed in U.S. dollars (USD), unless otherwise indicated.
Permitted Use of Rescue Buddies Materials
Unless otherwise stated, Rescue Buddies retains ownership of its original materials, designs, instructions, templates, graphics, and other content included in its products and services.
Purchasing a Rescue Buddies product or receiving complimentary access gives you permission to use the included materials for their intended purposes, as described in the product or accompanying instructions.
Animal rescues, organizations, and individual fundraisers may use, customize, print, and share materials specifically provided for their fundraising activities.
However, Rescue Buddies products and member-only resources may not be resold, repackaged, republished, or distributed as standalone products or resource collections unless permission is specifically granted.
Materials intended to be shared publicly, such as fundraising flyers, promotional graphics, outreach letters, and campaign materials, may be used for those intended purposes.
Purchasing or receiving access to Rescue Buddies materials does not transfer ownership of the underlying intellectual property.
Fundraising Results
Rescue Buddies provides tools, ideas, systems, and guidance intended to make fundraising easier and more organized.
Examples of potential earnings, fundraising amounts, suggested pricing, and financial outcomes are provided for planning and illustration only.
Fundraising results are not guaranteed.
Actual results depend on factors outside the control of Rescue Buddies, including participation, pricing, outreach, audience size, local circumstances, and how a fundraising activity is organized and implemented.
Fundraising organizers are responsible for managing their own campaigns, collecting funds, communicating with supporters, and complying with any requirements applicable to their activities.
Tribute Gallery Fundraising Systems
A Tribute Gallery Fundraising System includes the materials and services described on the applicable product page at the time of purchase.
Rescue Buddies offers different Gallery sizes and optional expansions, subject to the products and services available at the time.
Gallery organizers are responsible for collecting tribute information, names, photographs, dedication messages, and any other materials required for their Gallery.
Organizers must submit this information according to the instructions provided with their system.
Organizers are also responsible for ensuring they have permission to submit and use photographs, names, business information, and other content provided to Rescue Buddies.
Rescue Buddies may make reasonable formatting, layout, or presentation adjustments to ensure submitted content works appropriately within the chosen Gallery design.
Completed galleries may include publicly accessible online content, downloadable keepsakes, and related materials, depending on the system purchased.
Tribute Gallery Hosting
Each new Tribute Gallery includes an initial hosting period of one year, unless the applicable product description states otherwise.
The hosting period begins according to the terms provided with the purchased Gallery system.
Additional hosting may be available through Gallery renewals, eligible expansions, or other Rescue Buddies offerings.
Where an expansion includes an extension of hosting, the applicable extension will be described in the expansion terms.
If hosting expires without renewal or another applicable extension, Rescue Buddies may remove the Gallery from active hosting.
Where practical, reasonable notice may be provided before an actively hosted Gallery is removed.
Purchasing a Gallery does not provide indefinite hosting unless specifically stated.
Gallery Expansions
Gallery Expansions allow additional tributes to be added to an eligible Rescue Buddies Tribute Gallery.
Expansion availability, size, pricing, and applicable hosting terms are based on the expansion purchased and the conditions described at the time of purchase.
An expansion adds to an existing eligible Gallery and does not create a separate Gallery unless Rescue Buddies specifically states otherwise.
Gallery organizers are responsible for collecting and submitting the additional tribute information required for an expansion.
Gift-a-Gallery
Gift-a-Gallery allows supporters or groups to organize fundraising activities to purchase or gift an eligible Rescue Buddies Tribute Gallery Fundraising System to an animal rescue.
Purchasing or receiving a Gift-a-Gallery certificate does not guarantee that a rescue will choose to accept, redeem, or use the Gallery.
Gift certificates and redemption instructions must be used according to the terms provided with the applicable Gift-a-Gallery product.
Redemptions may require verification of the gift purchase and confirmation of the intended recipient.
Where a Gift-a-Gallery package includes additional products or expansions, those items are subject to the redemption instructions and eligibility requirements provided with the package.
Rescue Buddies Memberships
Rescue Buddies offers recurring memberships, including Fun Buddies and Fundraiser Buddies.
Membership features, pricing, billing frequency, and included resources are described on the applicable membership page at the time of enrollment.
Fundraiser Buddies includes access to the Fun Buddies content, together with additional fundraising resources and materials.
Both memberships provide access to growing libraries of resources, with new content added periodically.
As long as a membership remains active and access is maintained, members may explore available previous releases as well as newly published content included in their membership tier.
Membership libraries grow over time. The amount and type of content available may change as new resources are added, updated, or retired.
Membership content may include newsletters, printables, activities, fundraising ideas, basic instructions, templates, and other materials, depending on the membership tier.
Member-only materials are for permitted personal, organizational, or fundraising use and may not be resold, repackaged, or distributed as standalone resources unless specifically authorized.
Membership Billing and Cancellation
Paid Rescue Buddies memberships are billed on a recurring basis until cancelled.
The applicable membership price, billing frequency, and payment requirements are displayed during signup.
Members may cancel their subscriptions to prevent future renewal charges.
Cancellation does not normally reverse a payment that has already been processed, subject to applicable law and the Rescue Buddies Refund Policy.
Membership access following cancellation is governed by the applicable membership platform's arrangements and the membership conditions in effect.
Members are responsible for cancelling before their next scheduled billing date if they do not wish to continue with a paid renewal.
Complimentary Memberships and Promotional Offers
Rescue Buddies may provide complimentary memberships, discounted memberships, introductory offers, or promotional coupon codes to eligible individuals and organizations.
The conditions of each offer, including its duration, redemption limits, eligibility requirements, and any future charges, will be described when the offer is provided or redeemed.
First-month-free offers are introductory discounts on recurring memberships, not automatically expiring one-month memberships.
Where an offer provides the first month free and requires payment information at signup, the membership will continue at the applicable regular subscription price after the introductory period unless cancelled before the next billing date.
Other complimentary memberships, including eligible Partner Membership Access, may provide ongoing access without a membership charge, subject to the applicable program conditions.
Rescue Buddies may verify eligibility for complimentary access and promotional offers and may revoke access obtained through misuse, fraud, or ineligible redemption.
Rescue Buddies Partner Program
Participation in the Rescue Buddies Partner Program is subject to approval by Rescue Buddies.
Approved Partners may receive benefits such as:
Complimentary access to Rescue Buddies memberships.
Referral commissions on eligible membership payments.
Promotional and sharing materials.
Opportunities to participate in Partner activities and promotions.
Other benefits described in the applicable Partner Program materials.
Standard Partners may earn recurring commissions according to the commission arrangements published for the program.
Founding Partners may receive a different commission rate and additional benefits, as described in the Founding Partner offer.
Commissions are calculated on eligible membership revenue after applicable platform and payment processing fees.
Commission payments are subject to the payout arrangements, minimum thresholds, tracking methods, and other conditions communicated to Partners.
Complimentary memberships and free introductory periods do not generate commissions on amounts for which no payment is received.
Partner participation does not create an employment, agency, franchise, or joint-venture relationship with Rescue Buddies.
Partners are responsible for representing Rescue Buddies accurately and must not make misleading claims, guarantee financial or fundraising results, or represent themselves as employees or authorized agents of Rescue Buddies.
Partners are expected to make a genuine effort to introduce Rescue Buddies to their supporters and to use their assigned referral links when promoting memberships.
Rescue Buddies may periodically review Partner participation and eligibility for continued Partner benefits.
Participation may be suspended or ended in cases of fraud, misuse, misrepresentation, serious violations of program conditions, or other conduct that could reasonably harm Rescue Buddies, customers, or participating rescues.
Specific Partner benefits, commission arrangements, promotional offers, and program procedures may be described separately in Partner materials.
Promotions, Giveaways, and Voting
Rescue Buddies may organize promotions, giveaways, nomination programs, member voting activities, and other opportunities for animal rescues and supporters.
Each promotion may have its own eligibility requirements, participation instructions, dates, selection methods, prizes, and additional conditions.
Participants are responsible for following the rules published for the applicable promotion.
Rescue Buddies may verify participation, nominations, referrals, memberships, votes, and eligibility before awarding prizes or benefits.
Fraudulent, duplicate, manipulated, or otherwise invalid participation may be excluded according to the applicable promotion rules.
Where a promotion is conducted through a third-party platform, additional platform rules may apply.
Third-Party Services
Rescue Buddies uses third-party services to provide portions of its website, checkout, payment processing, digital delivery, memberships, email communications, and other business functions.
Your use of those services may also be subject to the terms and policies of the applicable provider.
Rescue Buddies is not responsible for outages, interruptions, or other circumstances outside its reasonable control, but we will make reasonable efforts to help resolve problems affecting a Rescue Buddies purchase or service.
Refunds and Purchase Problems
Refund eligibility is governed by the Rescue Buddies Refund Policy and applicable consumer protection laws.
Please review the Refund Policy before making a purchase.
If you experience a problem accessing or receiving something you purchased, contact Rescue Buddies so we can investigate and attempt to resolve the issue.
Intellectual Property
The Rescue Buddies name, branding, original graphics, written materials, fundraising systems, templates, designs, and other original content are owned by Rescue Buddies unless otherwise stated.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of Rescue Buddies intellectual property to a purchaser, member, Partner, or website visitor.
Permissions granted for the use of purchased or complimentary materials are limited to their intended purposes as described in these Terms, the applicable product description, or the accompanying materials.
User-Submitted Content
When you provide photographs, names, logos, tribute information, or other materials to Rescue Buddies for use in a Gallery or another service, you retain ownership of the content you are entitled to provide.
You give Rescue Buddies permission to use, format, reproduce, display, and incorporate that content as reasonably necessary to provide the requested product or service.
For Tribute Galleries, this may include public online displays, downloadable keepsakes, videos, and related Gallery materials.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights and permissions to submit the content.
Rescue Buddies may decline or request changes to content that is unlawful, inappropriate, misleading, or unsuitable for the requested service.

Changes to Products and Services
Rescue Buddies may update, improve, replace, or discontinue products, resources, membership features, or services as the business develops.
Changes will not remove rights to products already purchased where those rights have already been granted, except where a change is reasonably necessary for legal, security, technical, or operational reasons.
For recurring services, material changes will be handled in accordance with applicable requirements and the relevant subscription arrangements.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Rescue Buddies is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of its website, fundraising systems, resources, or services.
Rescue Buddies does not guarantee specific fundraising outcomes, membership earnings, referral income, or financial results.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
Changes to These Terms
These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time as Rescue Buddies grows, products change, or legal and operational requirements change.
The Last updated date at the top of this page will indicate when the Terms were most recently revised.
For purchases already made, the terms applicable at the time of purchase may continue to apply where required.
