The Cats Who Helped Inspire Rescue Buddies

Behind Rescue Buddies is a small, independent cat rescue that understands the challenges rescues are facing.

It's not a large organization with a building full of volunteers. It's a home shared with rescued cats, many of whom came from difficult circumstances and needed somewhere safe to belong.

Over the years, caring for these cats has become an important part of everyday life. Providing food, shelter, veterinary care, and a permanent home is a commitment that continues long after the initial rescue.

And with 26 cats in our care, that commitment is a big one.

These are the cats who helped inspire Rescue Buddies.

Why Rescue Buddies Began

Animal rescue is rewarding, but it can also be expensive, exhausting, and difficult to sustain.

The animals still need care tomorrow, next month, and next year. Food bills continue, veterinary expenses arise, and the responsibility doesn't disappear when fundraising gets difficult.

Rescue Buddies grew from a desire to find better ways to support rescued animals, including our own, while creating something that could help other rescues facing similar challenges.

Rather than relying on donations or traditional fundraising events, we began developing practical fundraising systems that rescues and their supporters could use without unnecessary complications.

Today, Rescue Buddies offers memberships, Tribute Gallery Fundraising Systems, and Gift-a-Gallery opportunities designed to help animal rescues build financial support.

Our cats may have helped inspire the idea, but Rescue Buddies was created to help many more animals than the ones living in our home.

How to Support Our Cats

If you love animals but don't already have a particular rescue you'd like to support, we'd be delighted if you considered ours.

One way to help is by joining a Rescue Buddies membership through our rescue's special referral link.

When you join through that link, our rescue earns a recurring commission from your eligible membership payments, after applicable platform and payment processing fees.

You receive the same Rescue Buddies membership benefits as anyone else.

The only difference is that your membership also helps provide ongoing support for the rescued cats in our care.
